NarrowMinded is a Python-based video tool that process any digital videos into grotesque digital freaks in digital video format via object detection, open cv, and Gpt.

Life feels too short for this much. While technology strives to extend human life expectancy, our bodies are endlessly woven into information networks, reduced to mere nodes in an army of data. Each second, we process extraordinary volumes of information, circling back through these systems. Since the advent of video technology, it has become one of the most powerful tools for disseminating information. Yet, like many other ubiquitous technologies, its anatomy often goes unnoticed and misunderstood. This invisibility reflects the limits of human attention—a boundary that information technologies continuously exploit, causing existence itself to flicker in the gaps between perception.

Unlike humans, technology has no similar boundary of attention. In this sense, machines do not tire, nor do they falter, verging on omnipotence. The technological structure has evolved far beyond mere extensions of the human body, forming an almost autonomous system—from household cables to smart cities and even brainwave imaging.

Though we engage with technology through our natural senses, much of its inner workings remain incomprehensible, giving rise to a new, technologically mediated sensory experience. And so, the timeless mission persists: technology shapes our perception, but how can we grasp its nuances and ever-shifting dynamics?

NarrowMinded did nothing to capture these dynamics. It’s nothing more than the absurd struggle of a human, unable to truly communicate with machines through a digital mind of numbers, fumbling with digital video encoding.
